A wonderful piece of Royal history. A Royal throne toilet seat made for King George V!.

We believe this original antique toilet seat may have come from a Royal train carriage. It's design and detailing are very much like the GWR (Great Western Railway) seat that we have for sale and it bears the same intricate brass screw detailing to the underside. We cannot be certain of this fact, but can guarantee it does have Royal provenance.

The solid brass hinges are imprinted with the initials KG and a simple crown which is the King G R v Cypher. As you would expect this is an extremely high quality item both in the materials and workmanship, definitely fit for a king!

This is the type of seat that can be used with floor or wall brackets, or a floating shelf. They are not usually fitted to a standard toilet bowl, but it is possible - please do message us if you require any help with this.

It has been professionally restored to the very highest of standards. All the hinges are solid brass and the wood has a satin oiled finish which brings out the beautiful natural depth of the wood.
