Antique Advertising High Level Toilet Cistern and Chain Pull - Shanks & Co Ltd Barrhead

An antique advertising ceramic toilet / light pull with solid brass fittings and chain. Crafted in the late 19th century with the words "PULL. Shanks & Co Ltd. Barrhead" with ribbon swirl pattern under the glaze.

Pull measures 12cm (4.75") long including brass fixings but not loop

In very good condition but there is a small chip to the very top just under the brass top. There is a nut and washer to the top which may be a later addition, probably to stop "spinning" which can occur over time.

A very rare Shanks collectable item.
