A very rare opportunity to purchase 10 matching pairs of Art Deco diamond cut glass door knobs, circa 1900's (one handle is a similar replacement being a little smaller). These all come from the same property and are an authentic and original to the property. They match the 14 cut glass escutcheons that we have available.

6.5 pairs are stamped "CHING Pat No 337558" and the remainder "BIRMABRIGHT Pat No 337558". Birmabright is a trade mark of Birmetals Birmingham UK.

Each knob measures

  • 7.5cm (3") high
  • 4cm (1.5") wide
  • will project 5cm (2") from the door
Backplate measures 57mm wide.

They have wonderful silver mirrored centers, are incredibly tactile with smooth multi-faceted faces. These are suitable for mortise locks, or push/pull doors only.

The aluminium alloy backplates have a lovely patina, but should polish up beautifully if that's the look you prefer. We can offer a professional polishing service for a small fee.

They come complete with replacement connecting bars.

Two knobs have small chips to the edge, all the others are in excellent antique condition and without damage, for the odd tiny superficial scratch or flea bite.

A stunning set of this quality and condition doesn't come up often, so grab them now and add a touch of style and class to your period home in an instant.
