7" x 5" Cast Iron & Brass Door Rim Lock, Key & Keep - 2 Lever Birmingham

An antique cast iron rim lock. It comes complete with working key (works from both sides) and inhouse hand crafted replacement keep. Lovely bevel edged rims and rounded corners.

The lock has been professionally restored to a very high standard and is in full working order. It's has been given a gloss lacquered finish. Will fit a left hung door.

The brass lock is stamped "2 Lever" and the lock itself "BR(M)" which is short for Birmingham

Measurements:

• Lock: 18cm (7") wide, 13cm (5") high and 2.5cm (1") thick
• Keep: 2.5cm (1") wide, 11.5cm (4 1/2") high and 2.5cm (1") thick
• Key: 10cm (4 1/4") long
• The center of the keyhole is 7.5cm (3") from the edge of the deadlock side

An impressive piece weighing just over 1.3kg.

In very good condition, full working order. The key is very pitted but fully function and fit for another 100yrs+ use.
