3 pairs Antique Cut Glass Door Knobs & Concealing Back Plates - Hart & Son Pitts London
Sold Out
Three pairs of antique cut glass door knobs with concave faces, silver centre star pattern and solid brass concealing backplates. Circa 1900s.
The backplates have a concealing face plate that hides the fixing screws and creates a smooth high quality finish. Stamped to the back "Pitt's Patent London, H & s".
- 6cm (2 1/2") wide
- will project 6cm (2 1/2") from the door
These are suitable for doors fitted with mortice locks, or push pull mechanisms and they come complete with replacement connecting bars.
The solid brass collars have a lovely patina, but should polish up beautifully if that's the look you prefer. We can offer a professional polishing service for a small fee.
These are exceptionally high quality handles but all of them have some type of fault, ie flea bites, small chips, discolouration. One has lost its center star pattern and another has a small bit missing to the brass collar. If you want something that looks as if it's "grown there" then these are just the ticket.
