A very rare opportunity to purchase 8 matching pairs of Victorian eight sided glass door knobs, circa 1800's. These all come from the same property and are an authentic original matching set complete with their back plates.
Each measures 6cm (2 1/4") across and will project 6cm (2 1/4") from the door.
Much larger than the normal handles that you usually find, these are extremely impressive and will suit the most majestic of interiors. See penultimate photo for size comparison to a regular sized handle.
They have wonderful mercury mirrored centres are incredibly tactile with smooth flat faces. These are best suited to mortise locks, but we can adapt them to fit your rim locks.
The solid brass shanks have a lovely patina, but should polish up beautifully if that's the look you prefer (see end photo for a cleaned example on the top). We can offer a professional polishing service for a small fee. They come complete with the original grub screws, connecting bar and two high quality solid brass back plates.
All are in exceptional antique condition and without damage, except for the odd tiny superficial flea bite.
A stunning set of this quality and condition doesn't come up often, so grab them now and add a touch of style and class to your period home in an instant.
